  • Our booked play sessions vary but are generally 1.15 hours long, giving children ample time to engage in imaginative play and explore every part of the town.

Our sessions also provide opportunities for kids to connect with others in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Absolutely! We encourage parents to join in the fun. Tiny Town is designed to bring families together through play, allowing parents to bond with their children while also connecting with other parents in the community.

  • We recommend our play sessions for confident walkers through to 6, but if your child isn’t walking yet but would love to participate, we can certainly assist and accommodate them. Each play area is adaptable to provide a fun experience for a range of abilities.

  • Yes, booking in advance is required to secure your spot in a session. Our sessions often fill up quickly, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

  • Just yourselves and a sense of fun! We provide everything needed for play, but we do recommend comfortable clothing for your child as they’ll be moving around and exploring.

  • Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to bring snacks for your child. However, we kindly ask that food and drinks are kept away from the play areas to ensure cleanliness and safety for all children. Please make sure to wash hands before returning to play.

  • We take cleanliness seriously! All our equipment is continuously sanitised during sessions, and we have a dedicated scrub bucket so parents can sanitise any toys themselves if needed. Between sessions, everything is thoroughly cleaned before the next group arrives. We also choose wooden toys wherever possible — not only are they durable and eco-friendly, but they’re also easier to clean and naturally resistant to bacteria compared to plastic alternatives.

  • Yes, feel free to take photos of your child enjoying the Tiny Town experience! We love seeing your photos and would appreciate being tagged on social media @tinytown.nz. However, please be mindful of capturing other people’s children in your photos, as we want to respect everyone’s privacy.

  • We carefully select venues with great parking facilities for your convenience. Parking information will be included in your email confirmation, so you’ll know exactly where to park on the day.

  • Yes, safety is our top priority. All of our equipment is regularly cleaned and checked, and we create a secure, supervised environment for your child to explore freely. Our facilitators are all first aid trained. However, we do require parents to supervise their children during the session.

  • We run weekly sessions at various venues around Christchurch. Keep an eye on our website or social media for updates on upcoming locations.

  • Yes, we offer private sessions for groups, schools, and preschools. If you're interested in booking a private play session, get in touch with us for more information on availability and pricing.

  • Due to our venues consistently changing, we don’t carry food. We will aim to have beverages available for purchase at most sessions. Feedback is most welcome here.

Party hire

  • Our party hire lasts for 2 hours of playtime, with an additional 1.5 hours on either side for setup and pack-away, making it a smooth experience from start to finish.

  • Yes, as the host, you’ll need to arrange and hire the venue. The space should be indoors with an even surface for us to set up the town.

  • Yes! Our town is fully customizable in size and shape, allowing us to adapt it to a variety of venues, large or small.

  • With a full Tiny Town setup, we recommend 25-30 guests max. If we need to reduce the town’s size to accommodate your space, we can discuss a suitable party size before the booking is confirmed.

  • Our standard party hire is for 2 hours of playtime, but if you need more time, let us know, and we can discuss the options for extended hire.

  • We provide the full Tiny Town setup with our various role-play areas, extra birthday-related toys, and an onsite member of staff to ensure everything runs smoothly. We also offer digital invitations to send out to your guests.

  • Yes, we handle the complete setup, and we clean up everything Tiny Town-related after the party, so you don’t have to worry about tidying up!
